Today is a day of juice, water and raw food fasting for me. I just thought it would be a good day to fast. On the other hand my husband’s dinner is a black bean burger and sweet potato fries. This is my first time making a black bean burger from scratch. It’s decent but not perfection. I had one yesterday. I will keep working on it. As for the juice I threw everything in – parsley, apples, carrots, cabbage, red bell pepper, beets, celery, and romaine lettuce. I’m still hungry.
That’s the problem with juice fasting, you are always hungry. I guess you can just have another juice? I make smoothies rather than juicing as I like to get the bulk of the fibre in my drink which tends to keep me full for longer but it is horses for courses really. Those black bean burgers are excellent for a first attempt 🙂
Actually, I think they were better the next time I made them for Chris. I blackened them more which seemed to make all the difference. I wouldn’t know for sure since I wasn’t eating them.
