From just one stalk of kale, that I just pulled from the garden tonight.
Actually we have so much kale coming out of our garden that I had to get inventive. I’m now using it as a centerpiece. I could do the same for the lettuce.
You are making me jealous! All of my kale was predated by possums and slugs and the poor long suffering stalks that remained are now covered in aphids! I guess I should have gone with normal curly kale rather than Cavelo Nero…fool me once! 😉 Yours looks gorgeous 🙂
Sometimes we just get lucky. Certain things seem to grow in our soil well. Lettuces always seem to do well. This year we’ve had the right amount of sun and rain so far. But no tricks. We are very novice gardeners. We just plant organically and hope for the best.
And a beautiful center piece it is! I love it raw in smoothies and massaged with olive oil in salad and sautéed with garlic and any other way that it can be prepared also!

We did take some precautions this year with fencing. Curly seems to work better for us, plus it is my preferred kale to eat.
My kale in my garden doesn’t look like that. Any good tricks on how to get my garden to have good kale? http://www.segmation.wordpress.com

I think you have a greener thumb than me. Thanks for your comment! http://www.segmation.wordpress.com

Will probably make kales with onions and garlic today.
