Laughter

Today, I’m thankful to have met a very special child.  Children are always special, but I feel this one in particular has a very advanced soul.  Today, also, I’m thankful to have heard and shared in a lot of laughter.  I met new friends and ran into long lost friends.  It was a special day, indeed.

A study found that the average four year old laughs four hundred times a day.  The average adult in the happiest of countries laugh sixteen times a day.  Why do children laugh?  They live in the present moment without cares and guilt, feeling loved, finding newness in all they behold.  Children live with a freedom – a freedom that fades with each passing year.  A child says what he/she feels, speaking from the heart.  A child is true to his/her own inner nature.  Life moves from within to without.
